green goodness: paint, lacquer and paper

My love affair with green shows no signs of waning. I've gathered so many amazing images since Emily posted her bedroom makeover that I'm pretty much obligated to share them at this point. Don't you feel lucky? The answer is yes, stop making that face.

Here are just a few of my favourite green walled rooms right now. I know you won't believe me, but this really is only a super small sampling of what I amassed, and only of the ones featuring green walls. Next is the green furniture, doors, lighting, tile . . .

Again, stop making that face.

Onto the pretty!

First up: a moody bedroom literally encased in emerald (check out the ceiling):

This next one is some of Angie Hranowsky's newest. She can do no wrong:

A Ruthie Sommers bachelor pad featured in Lonny:

A bold palm leaf powder room with a malachite pendant light and pedestal top. 'Nuff said.

Subway tile and avocado green all the way up a grand stairway:

Gorgeous, gorgeous green lacquer. You need insanely smooth walls, but if you can pull it off, it's a knock-out.

One of the most original, cozy and quirky entries I've seen in a while. An example of painted trim done right:

Tory Burch's home. Walls upholstered in velvet. That. is. awesome.

An oldy, but a goody from Kate Spade:

If you know me at all, you know there's going to be more next week, but first I'm hoping to share the pics from a recent photo shoot I styled. Fingers crossed I get my act together!

  1. Those palm/banana tree walllpaper rooms are crazy! Also, velvet walls and a subway tile staircase? This post is full of so many amazing finds!

Styled shoot pics coming right up as soon as I get my computer(s) back :) I told Brian I felt like a mom dropping my kids off at kindergarten when I handed over BOTH computers to the apple store!

    1. I loooove the banana tree wallpapers. I had too many great rooms with them to post!

I can't imagine a whole two days without your computers! That analogy is perfect. P.S. no rush on the pics, it'll keep ;)

  2. If you would have asked me a year ago, I would have told you I hate green. Now, I can't get enough of it! I'm sure gals like Emily and images like these might have something to do with it! :) PS, thank you for your sweet comment the other day. Shoot me an email if you ever have any questions about Photoshop. I'm no expert, but I'd love to help if I can! :)
